Discover Halifax came together with Halifax’s brightest on June 10 to do just that – work together and brainstorm what our region’s favourite events have been over the years, how we can attract even more in the future and how our city’s champions can Take the Lead in hosting them in Halifax.
Attracting high-value events is a main cornerstone of the Take the Lead program, which supports Halifax champions in attracting their dream business, sports, leisure and culture events to our region. These events come in all shapes and sizes, from academic conferences and international sporting events to dance competitions and business meetings.
While each event is different, all share one similar result – they bring opportunity and impact to Halifax. And when a Halifax champion partners with Take the Lead to attract their event to Halifax, they become part of our region's legacy.
