Becky Chapman

Becky, a co-owner, coach, and judge at Rising Tide Irish Dance Academy, took the lead and hosted three (and counting) Atlantic Canadian Irish Dance Championships (ACIDC) in Halifax.

WHY SHE DID IT

Becky wanted to give all local dancers a chance to experience a world-class Irish Dance Feis (pronounced: ‘Fesh’) without having to travel outside of Canada or to further west.

BIG OUTCOMES

Since 2022, The ACIDC has hosted more than 3,000 dancers, families, coaches, judges, and cheering friends. This has established the ACIDC as the most significant Irish Dance Feis east of Quebec.
