The Big Sing: A Maritime Kitchen Party Supporting Youth Arts

The Big Sing transforms business events into powerful catalysts for Halifax’s creative community by celebrating Nova Scotia’s rich musical heritage. This immersive experience combines the energy of a concert with the warmth of a Maritime kitchen party, featuring traditional three-part harmonies that reflect the region’s cultural essence. The initiative directly supports the MacPhee Centre for Creative Learning through The Big Sing Trust Fund, ensuring that funds raised flow directly into youth arts education programs that nurture the next generation of local talent.

How it works

Event participants engage in a guided sing-along experience led by local musicians and cultural ambassadors. The format can be customized to fit various event venues while maintaining the authentic Maritime atmosphere. Proceeds generated through participation fees and donations are channeled directly to the Trust Fund, creating a sustainable funding stream for youth arts programming.
