Impactful Experience

Plogging: Feel-Good Fitness and Cleanup

Offered by: Charity Plogging Halifax

Overview

Get moving for a cause with Halifax’s Charity Plogging, a feel-good fitness and cleanup event that combines jogging or walking with litter collection. Guided by Luke MacDonald—community advocate, runner, and former owner of Aerobics First—participants take part in an energetic activity that feels good and supports environmental care and community health.

How it works

Delegates gather for a warm-up and motivational talk (onsite) with Luke before heading out in teams to collect litter along designated routes lead by volunteers from a charity partner. Gloves, bags, and materials are provided. The event concludes with a group reflection and an opportunity to learn more about the charity partner(s). Charity partners such as Running Water Kenya, Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, End Polio Now, and/or a local charity the group chooses to support.

Other ways to engage

Luke MacDonald is also available for speaking engagements. 100% is donated to a registered non-profit partner of your choice. Tax receipts available.
