Blue Carbon in Focus: Eelgrass Education Sessions

Overview

The Blue Carbon in Focus experience brings the science and stories of Nova Scotia’s eelgrass meadows directly to your event. Delivered by the Community Eelgrass Restoration Initiative (CERI), these sessions introduce delegates to the critical role eelgrass plays in storing carbon, supporting biodiversity, and protecting our coastlines. Through compelling talks and hands-on gear demonstrations, participants gain a deeper understanding of blue carbon ecosystems and the innovative research happening across the province.

How it works

CERI experts lead a tailored, interactive presentation on eelgrass ecology, biodiversity, and climate resilience, enhanced by underwater footage, restoration tools, and live demonstrations. Sessions are designed for conferences or breakout rooms and include time for Q&A. While CERI cannot accept donations, event fees directly support their community research partners who conduct ongoing monitoring and restoration.
