Atlantic Stories on Screen

Overview

The Atlantic Stories on Screen experience connects delegates to Halifax’s dynamic film community through private screenings that illuminate Atlantic Canada’s culture, landscapes, and creative talent. In partnership with the Atlantic International Film Festival (AIFF), these experiences highlight stories that spark conversation, showcase regional filmmakers, and support programs for youth and AIFF’s year-round programming.

How it works

Event organizers can choose between two formats. The Curated Film Experience pairs AIFF programmers with event planners to select a film or theme that aligns with the conference topic and goals—offering a bespoke, purpose-driven screening with an introduction or Q&A led by an AIFF curator or filmmaker. The Atlantic Retrospective Experience features celebrated films from the region’s cinematic history, revisiting iconic productions that have shaped Atlantic storytelling. Both options can include post-screening discussions or receptions, with proceeds supporting regional film development.

Donations to AIFF are welcome at any level. Tax receipts available.
